Whoever attaches themselves to a ruler falls into temptation, and their closeness to the ruler does not increase except that their distance from God increases as well.
You are in greater need of noble deeds than of accumulating wealth.
Many a strife is sparked by just a single word.
Lust is an enemy that is blindly followed.

Whoever receives abundant blessings from God will find people turning to them with greater needs. Therefore, whoever fulfills their duties toward God regarding those blessings ensures their preservation and longevity, and whoever fails to do so leads them to end and ruin.
Givers are of three kinds: God, the Lord of all creation; the owner of the wealth; and the person through whose hands it is distributed.

O servants of God! Beware, beware! For by God, He has concealed your faults to such an extent that it seems as if He has forgiven you; and He has granted you respite to such an extent that it seems as if He has overlooked them!
Guard your tongue, and you will win the hearts of your companions.
No servant restrains anger except that God increases their honor in this world and the hereafter.

When God intends good for a people, He increases the scholars among them and decreases the ignorant, so that when a scholar speaks he finds supporters, and when an ignorant person speaks he is subdued. (Likewise) when He intends harm for a people, He increases the ignorant among them and decreases the scholars, so that when an ignorant person speaks he finds supporters, and when a scholar speaks he is subdued.
God has granted humans the best of this world and the hereafter only through their good character and pure intention.
No hardship intensifies except that God brings its relief near.
Sit with gentle people so that your own gentleness may increase.
Except for God, every knowledgeable person is merely a learner.
In the eyes of the wise, this world is merely a shadow.
The worst person is one who repays good with evil, and the best person is one who repays evil with good.

Hearts are of three types: a heart preoccupied with the world, a heart preoccupied with the hereafter, and a heart preoccupied with the Lord. As for the heart preoccupied with the world, for it is hardship and affliction; as for the heart preoccupied with the hereafter, for it are high ranks; and as for the heart preoccupied with the Lord, for it is the world, the hereafter, and the Lord!
When people sleep, their souls ascend toward the heavens; whatever they perceive in the heavens is truth, and whatever they see in the air is merely dreams.

One whose inner secret is beautiful will also have a beautiful exterior.

Whoever humiliates himself for worldly people will be stripped of the garment of virtue.
A servant is free as long as they are content, and a free person is a servant as long as they are greedy.
Whoever restrains the desires of their body pleases their Lord, and whoever does not restrain their body disobeys their Lord.
Intellect is the vehicle of knowledge.
It is incumbent upon a poor person not to beg unless compelled by necessity.
Depend upon whomever you wish, and you will become their captive.
Be like the bee: when it eats, it eats what is pure; when it produces, it produces what is pure; and when it lands on a branch, it does not break it.
Inner adornment is more beautiful than outward adornment.
Do not admonish an ignorant person, for they will hate you; admonish a wise person, and they will love you.
Every good deed is a charity.
How often has an honorable person been humiliated on account of their ignorance!
Indeed, God loves His self-respecting servant.
Whatever a person is given from this world is a lesson, and whatever is withheld from them is a test.
When a believer gets angry, their anger does not lead them away from the truth, and when pleased, their pleasure does not lead them into falsehood, and when capable, they take no more than what is rightfully theirs.
Whoever exposes the secrets of another, the secrets of their own home will be exposed; whoever draws the sword of oppression will be destroyed by it; whoever digs a pit for their brother will fall into it; whoever mingles with fools will be disgraced; whoever keeps company with scholars will be honored; and whoever enters bad places will be accused.
Whoever makes joking their habit will never be taken seriously.
The most beneficial medicine is abandoning desires.
Let not the one who does not know be ashamed to learn, for the value of every person is in what they know!
Good character is the fruit of intellect.
The first glance (at something forbidden) is a mistake, the second is deliberate, and the third is destructive.

An ignorant person does not recognize a scholar because he himself was not previously a scholar.
