Generosity has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes extravagance. Caution has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes cowardice. Frugality has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes miserliness. Courage has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes recklessness.

If a content person were to swear that this world and the hereafter belong to him, God would surely validate his oath, elevating his status to the great rank reserved for the content.
જે માણસ ત્રણ વસ્તુઓને છોડી દે છે, તે ત્રણ વસ્તુઓને પામી જાય છે. જે બુરાઈને છોડી દે છે, તે ઇજ્જતને પામી જાય છે. જે અભિમાનને છોડી દે છે, તે સન્માનિતતાને પામી જાય છે. જે કંજૂસાઈને છોડી દે છે, તે સમૃદ્ધિને પામી જાય છે.
Whoever renounces three things attains three things: whoever renounces evil attains honor, whoever renounces arrogance attains dignity, and whoever renounces stinginess attains nobility.
