ઈર્ષ્યા કરનાર એવું માને છે કે જેની સાથે તે ઈર્ષ્યા કરે છે, તેના પરથી કૃપા છીનવાઈ જવી એ પોતાના માટે એક કૃપા છે.

ખરેખર શ્રદ્ધાળુ સકારાત્મક ઈર્ષ્યા કરે છે પરંતુ દ્વેષ નથી કરતો, જ્યારે કે કપટી દ્વેષ કરે છે અને સકારાત્મક ઈર્ષ્યા નથી કરતો.
Indeed, the believer aspires without malice, whereas the hypocrite envies with malice and does not aspire.
જો તને કોઈ (સારું) કાર્ય/વસ્તુ (પણ) અશુભ લાગતું હોય, તોય (તેમાં) આગળ વધી જા; જો તને કોઈ (વ્યક્તિ/વસ્તુ વિષે કંઈક) શંકા હોય, તો તેના આધારે કોઈ નિર્ણય ન લે. અને જો તું કોઈની ઈર્ષ્યા કરતો હોય, તો તેના પર જુલ્મ ન કર.
If you feel bad omen about something, still proceed with it; if you have suspicion, do not judge based on it; and if you feel envy towards someone, do not wrong them.

An envious person displays affection in words but conceals malice in deeds; thus, they hold the title of a friend but possess the qualities of an enemy.
