ઈશ્વર તે મનુષ્ય પર દયા કરે જે પોતાના પાપને જુએ છે અને પોતાના ઈશ્વરથી ડરે છે.

ત્રણ (૩) વસ્તુઓ એવી છે કે જે કોઈ વ્યક્તિમાં ન હોય તો તેનાથી ક્યારેય ભલાઈની આશા રાખવામાં આવતી નથી: ૧. જે એકાંતમાં ઈશ્વરથી ડરતો નથી, ૨. જે વૃદ્ધાવસ્થામાં પણ (ગુનાહોથી) રોકાતો નથી, ૩. અને જે એબોથી શરમાતો નથી.
There are three traits without which goodness can never be expected from someone: one who does not fear God in solitude, one who does not refrain from sins even in old age, and one who feels no shame for faults.
નાના પાપ મોટા પાપ તરફનો રસ્તો છે. જે માણસ ઓછા પાપ કરવામાં ઈશ્વરથી નથી ડરતો, એ વધારે પાપ કરવામાં પણ નહીં ડરે.
Minor sins are the path to major sins. One who does not fear God in committing small wrongs will not fear Him in committing greater ones.
