જે વ્યક્તિ પોતાની જાતને લજ્જતોમાં છોડી દે છે, તે કમનસીબ થાય છે અને (ઈશ્વરથી) દૂર થઈ જાય છે.

તારી ઈચ્છાઓ ઓછી કર જેથી તારા માટે ગરીબાઈ સરળ થઈ જાય, અને તારા પાપો ઓછા કર જેથી તારા માટે મૃત્યુ સરળ થઈ જાય.
Lessen your desires so that poverty becomes easy for you, and lessen your sins so that death becomes easy for you.
શેતાને કહ્યું, "મેં તેમને (લોકોને) પાપો વડે નષ્ટ કર્યા તો તેઓએ મને ક્ષમાયાચના વડે નષ્ટ કર્યો, જ્યારે મેં આવું થતાં જોયું તો મેં તેમને મનોભાવનાઓ વડે ભટકાવ્યા જેથી તેઓ એવું સમજવા લાગે કે તેઓ સાચા માર્ગે છે, (અને) આના લીધે તેઓ ક્ષમા ન માંગે."
Satan said, "I destroyed them with sins, but they destroyed me with repentance. When I saw this, I led them astray through desires so they would think they are guided, and thus would not seek forgiveness."
બુદ્ધિશાળી તે છે જે પોતાની ઇચ્છાઓ પર જીત મેળવે અને પોતાના પરલોકને પોતાની દુનિયાના બદલામાં ન વેચે.
The wise is one who overcomes their desires and does not trade their hereafter for this world.
