ઉદારતાની એક સીમા હોય છે; જો એનાથી વધી જાય તો તે અતિવ્યય છે. સાવચેતીની પણ એક સીમા હોય છે; જો એનાથી વધી જાય તો તે કાયરતા છે. કરકસરની પણ એક સીમા હોય છે; જો એનાથી વધી જાય તો તે કંજૂસાઈ છે. બહાદુરીની પણ એક સીમા હોય છે; જો એનાથી વધી જાય તો તે અવિચારીપણું છે.
Generosity has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes extravagance. Caution has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes cowardice. Frugality has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes miserliness. Courage has a measure; if it exceeds that, it becomes recklessness.
